From Brest to Wroclaw

Having sat down the previous evening at the Belorussky railway stationAfter getting on the train, we arrived in Brest early in the morning, where we boarded a bus and, this time without much formality, crossed the border of Poland. Literally after 15 kilometers - the first stop. This place is familiar to all motorists entering Europe through Brest-a bus stop complex "Padjero", where there are cafes, shops, an exchange - everything that a motor traveller needs.

Poland, Padjero

The first time I was here about 5 years ago - none of this happened.

Having bought everything necessary for a long move, we go on. Not far from Warsaw, we cross the Vistula river.

Poland,

On Polish roads, you can find peculiar monuments to the Cold war and the Warsaw Pact.

Poland,

Construction of the Warsaw-Wroclaw road for the 2012 European football Championship. For two years now, four hundred kilometers of this highway have been a continuous construction site, and there is no end in sight. There is just over a month left before the opening of the games, and it is clear that the road will not be finished in time. (in the end, it turned out that the players and "respected" fans had to be transferred by plane, and the deadline for the completion of the highway was pushed back for 2 years, however, the next year the road was almost ready).

They build very well, according to European standards. The road program is one of the most important steps for Poland's accession to the European Union - the country must bring its infrastructure up to the appropriate level.

The roads are overgrown with hotels and restaurants that are being built in an open field. Until a couple of years ago, there was nothing here, last year there was only a frame.

В начале нашего пути листва на деревьях только начала распускаться, а здесь уже все цветет - мы едем по южной Польше.

Sunset found us not far from the border with Germany, where we have to stop for the night in the small Polish town of Zlotoryja.
